Gratitude

What I am especially grateful for this week:

1. E1 had a ton of fun at a water park slumber birthday party Friday night and a pool birthday party last night.

2. E2 had a ton of fun at her first birthday party Saturday.

3. Z's team won Saturday and he spent a few hours at a friend's house.

4. Digital cameras.

5. E2 and I had a nice lunch at Bob Evans after her haircut.

6. Z is doing very well with his brackets (much better than I ever did!).

7. E2 is showing lots of pre-reading signs ("How do you spell....?" and "What does ______ spell?" and "Hey that sign says _______!").

8. B did a TON of laundry over the weekend.

9. E2 behaved SO well at dance class last week.

Right before dance class yesterday, E2 cleaned her face with a baby wipe.  Whoosh! Instantly there were three bright red spots on her face. I don't think they bother her, and they look a little better today, but I have been putting Neosporin on them.

Matchy Matchy!

Gratitude

What I am especially grateful for this week (and last week):

1. E1 got a 38 at State and is State Bars Champ in her age group, the Level 4 and 5 teams are State Champs, the Level 4/5 CTOPs are now officially Level 5 CTOPs and are now working on Level 6 skills, the going away party for the coach going back to China was a lot of fun, various parents have given the Level 5 CTOPs blow-pops, treat buckets and nerds ropes to celebrate their successes, E1's teammates and their parents and their siblings are super sweet to E2, and I got E1 and E2 adorable matching leo's.

2. E1's friend C took her to a movie yesterday.

3. The kids mostly got along over Spring Break (I decided to not punish myself, and put the Wii back in Z's room for break).

4. Z spent last Friday night at J's house.

5. B got lots of nice cards for his birthday, the kids baked him a yummy cake, and we had a nice dinner out (well, dinner stunk but it was nice being together). 

6. My super husband.

After a 'never again' meal at Texas Roadhouse, we went home and had cake.  The big kids did most of the work and E2 chose the Diego decoration.  She's a little disappointed that B didn't play with it yesterday....

Final Level 4 Meet aka State Championships aka 38! and 2nd?????

 

Vault: 9.650 (2nd)
Bars: 9.725! (1st!)
Beam: 9.300 (2nd)
Floor: 9.325 (2nd. Last Level 4 Meet, Last Event and at the last moment, she didn't stick the landing. [says her shoulder popped on her backhandspring and hurt so that threw her off])

AA: 38.  And. came. in. SECOND! First place got a 38.15.  Oh well.  State Champ would have been a great way to end the level but what can ya do?  She is Bars State Champ, and received her highest bar and vault scores ever.

E1 and I were there from noon until 10pm.  We stayed to watch one of her teammates and to find out if her gym took first place. It did! The girls were SO happy and E1 got to bring the trophy home for the night!  It was a very long day, but very fun!

Too bad the level 4 music doesn't change until 2014.....

 

E2's gymnastics teacher stopped me after class to make sure E2 isn't four yet - she did a pullover all by herself, has a lot of natural talent, is a good candidate for the pre-team class when she turns four, is way ahead of the other girls her age, etc. etc.
