What I am especially grateful for the past couple of weeks:
Em is taking to middle school like a duck to water! Super organized, loves her teachers and is making new friends.
Rigby is off to a great year with a great teacher and is an awesome reader!
Z is surviving high school and I think being on a team has helped with the transition. Plus JVBlue is doing pretty well!
B went to Meet the Teacher night at the High School, and now Z knows where his completed English homework goes! :P
Em's cheer tuition, summer camp, choreography fees, competition fees, practice tees, shoes, uniform (over $3500) are all covered by my working at the gym, as is Rigby's weekly class. Yay! Plus I really really like the women I work with!
Went to Soccer Plus yesterday to get Rigby a soccer ball and realized that they had the littler kid-sized backpack I haven't been able to find online! Score!
B had the kids clean today while I was at work and tonight they are all at a Crew game!
B went apple picking on his lunch hour yesterday and got us a bag of the coveted Honeycrisp AND a bag of Sweet 16 (everyone raves about it: "like sweet vanilla with hints of molasses and fine bourbon" "very sweet flavor" "a very sweet, unusual sugar cane or spicy cherry candy flavor" "like a cherry popsicle" I thought it tasted like ........... an apple)
B and I had a nice dinner at Bravo last weekend and their Caprese Salad is. so. good.
We had a pretty good day at the Renaissance Festival on Labor Day - good weather, three of us got in free, the soft pretzels, apple dumplings and bread bowl soup were delicious and the atmosphere is fun.
