*I flaked on this year's December Daily. Mainly because it felt redundant - I'm still very happy with last year's and it just seemed like I was trying to reinvent the wheel. For 2013 I'm planning on doing a Christmas Smash Book. I am also planning on doing Project Life throughout the year.1 To keep myself motivated, my One Little Word for 2013 is going to be FINISH. As in finish what I start.
*I am going to try and blog regularly. I think. Honestly I'd probably be happier just using twitter and instagram, and deleting the blog and facebook. It is however, nice to look back on old entries, and the kids seem to enjoy it as well.
*I didn't think I would ever get used to multifocal contacts, but I did and I LOVE not having to screw around with reading glasses. Still have a little bit of trouble reading tiny tiny print in dim lighting but 99% of the time I am just fine.
*It turns out that quite of few of the (mostly minor) ailments which I have been chalking up to aging/weight gain may actually have been due to my stupid thyroid. I've been on levothyroxine for almost two months and overall feel better. Hoping the nausea and fatigue lessen soon though.
*I did not quit my job. Came very close but I do like my co-workers a lot and it does pay for the extras. I do not have the personality to deal with the public but I'm not ready to be an overnight stocker at Wal-Mart. Yet.
*I love my iPhone so much I am going to start referring to it as My Precioussssssss.
*Ben is fine and if he wants to expand on that he can post on this blog or start his own blog. He really should you know; I love his writing voice.
*Rigby is having a wonderful school year and spends lots and lots of time with her neighborhood friends. When the big kids were little, there weren't many kids around so I'm thrilled Rigs has over a dozen pals nearby.
*Em is having a wonderful school year and a great cheer year as well. The tween mood swings aren't fun, but I ♥ that she can't wait to tell me about everything in her life in excruciating detail.
*I don't have many gray hairs but the few I do are all due to Zach! At conferences his teachers all told Ben how smart he is (one used the word 'genius'), he scored higher on his PSAT's than 99% of the sophomores that took the test but he still won't turn his @#$%^&*! assignments in. He forgets about them, he loses them, he doesn't think he should do them and on and on and on. Argh.
*I don't want to jinx myself and probably shouldn't leave the house on the very last day of the year BUT in 2012, the van didn't hit any other vehicles or get hit by any deer!
1 right about now you can probably hear Ben screaming and ripping his hair out "NO NO NO! NO MORE PAPER SCRAPPING! FOR THE LOVE OF PETE THERE'S AN ENTIRE CABINET FILLED WITH UNUSED CRAP DO NOT BRING ANYMORE OF THAT SHIT INTO THIS HOUSE! And to that I say, but this time it's different! This time I really mean it!
