The Veronicas: Australian, loud, bland pop, mostly harmless (although one of their songs included the lyrics "And I wanna spend the night with you" which I didn't think was appropriate at a concert for young girls), mercifully short set and did I mention the music was LOUD?
Demi Lovato: Disney's newest pop princess, bland, inoffensive music, decent voice.
The Jonas Brothers: I actually like SOS, Hold On, Year 3000, and Burnin' Up. The rest of their music is okay and is inoffensive. They put on a good show for teenyboppers and of course the girls in the audience were thrilled the entire show.
The show: went from 7:00pm to 11:00 pm. In between sets, they played mostly old people music (i.e. 70's stuff) and when they played Four Minutes by Madonna/JT every. single. girl. in the audience stood up, danced and sang along. Also in between sets, they put text messages on two big screens. Everytime I saw a text that said "Scream if you love the Jonas Brothers" I knew to plug my ears because the girls? screamed.
The audience: never in my life have I wanted to taser so many people. I am soooooo old because I just kept thinking, ya know, if you would all sit down and SHUT UP this would be so much more enjoyable. I tried reminding myself that I would have been the same way if I had ever been able to see a Duran Duran concert. Didn't help. The screaming would have sent any rational person over the edge. My ears are still recovering. The people in section 105 rows A-C bear the brunt of my wrath.
I think E1 had fun, although next time (HA!) I'd probably bring one of her friends too.
